That said, if you prefer to ride your own motorbike and don’t want to sit behind a driver, we can still arrange it for you. Just note that you will be responsible for paying the 2,500,000 VND fine in case you’re stopped by the police.

There are several police checkpoints along the loop, and you could be fined at each one. According to Vietnamese law, there’s no regulation that exempts you from further fines after you've paid once. The law simply states that riding a motorbike without a valid license is subject to a fine—every time you're caught.
